This is a 1 hour HIV/AIDS (First Renewal only*) that meets Florida CE State Requirements
Course Summary Description:
HIV/AIDS is a complex condition that 1.2 million people in the United States struggle with on a daily basis. In order to provide them with the support they need, pharmacists must be knowledgeable in how HIV is spread, how to treat and manage the condition, how to improve patient care, and strategies to prevent the spread of this virus with pre- and post-exposure therapy. Pharmacists are key professionals who can significantly increase accessibility to care, as well as improve the quality of care that these patients receive throughout their lives.
*First-time renewal: If first renewal occurs less than 12 months from licensure, complete 5 hours (1 hour HIV/AIDS, 2 hours medication errors, 2 hours controlled substances). If 12 months or more, complete 15 hours (10 general, 1 HIV/AIDS, 2 medication errors, 2 controlled substances).
